Resources dedicated to helping the Chicago Muslim Convert/Revert

We understand that converting to Islam is an incredible, beautiful, and bold step in one's life. Converts may not have a Muslim support system upon conversion and therefore may be without resources to provide guidance, answer questions, or even simply relate to. The authors of this website have reached out to their network of Chicagoland Muslims and developed a pool of Muslims who are ready to help the Chicago Muslim Convert through our 'buddy program'.

Through this buddy program, Muslim converts will have an opportunity to meet other Muslims, go with a Muslim to attend jumu'ah or to tour a mosque or to meet an Imam, receive help on shopping for modest clothing or cooking halal, help learn how to conduct or pronounce the Islamic prayer, etc.

If you are a convert to Islam in the Chicagoland area, or are considering converting, and would like a buddy, please submit a buddy request form. You can specify in which areas you would like a buddy.
